Children are natural explorers that learn through play, discovery, and experiences. We often think of outdoor play when we think of sensory and exploration however, over the years I've discovered the importance and benefits of incorporating sensory play in the classroom. As teachers we might be hesitant when we hear "sensory play" because we think of how messy or how much time and money we will have to invest to get started but I am here to help and guide you through it all! In this session I will explain the value sensory play adds to a child's development, share different games, strategies, where to find materials you need and most importantly I will walk you through what it looks like in my math and literacy guided groups.
